Python Developer

Location: Onsite Montreal, Quebec

Important Note: This is a strictly onsite role in Montreal Candidates must be willing to relocate if not already based in Montreal.

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to build production-grade applications and data-driven products. In this role, you will design, prototype, and optimize complex data workflows and architectures, focusing on SQL optimization, Python development, and statistical analysis. The ideal candidate is proficient in at least two programming languages and has a strong understanding of CI/CD, data processing, and automation.

• Develop and maintain the Decisions platform, implementing industry-specific algorithms using Python.
• Optimize complex SQL queries (CTEs, window functions, pivots, grouping sets) in Sybase and MongoDB.
• Build and optimize data workflows using Python, Jenkins, and Linux environments.
• Apply statistical methods and machine learning principles to derive insights and improve decision-making.
• Utilize Generative AI coding assistants in Visual Studio Code to enhance development efficiency.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and implement GitOps best practices for seamless deployment.
• Write clear problem statements and conduct coding experiments to refine and optimize workflows.

• Strong expertise in Python and at least one additional programming language.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience in query optimization and database management.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Linux, and automation tools.
• Knowledge of machine learning/statistical modeling is a plus.
• Familiarity with GitOps and CI/CD best practices.
• Experience with GenAI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) is a plus.
