About this opportunity:
The Cenovus Canadian Refined Products organization has an engaging opportunity available for a Manager, Cardlock Sales to join their organization. This position is responsible for the sales and profitability of Cenovus’s commercial Cardlock network.
The successful candidate will be accountable for developing and leading a high-performing team, including recruitment, coaching, training and performance and compensation management. They will be responsible for driving sales excellence through development, management and optimization of a consistent sales process and supporting tools, driving and managing profitable performance of Cenovus’s cardlock network, and analyzing business results.
What you’ll do:
Developing and implementing sales & marketing strategies
Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
Drive profitable sales, new business development, and account management.
Build relationships with customers internally and externally
Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
Using software and tools to record customer accounts, sales, as well as analyze sales statistics to determine the performances of different products and salespeople.
Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or commerce.
A minimum 12 years of related business experience with supervisory responsibility.
Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
Experience with CRM software and sales management tools.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Sales Leadership Professional (CSLP) or Strategic Sales Management Certification considered an asset.
Project Management Professional (PMP) considered an asset
Experience in gas/convenience/restaurant experience considered an asset
We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate
