About this opportunity:

The Cenovus Canadian Refined Products organization has an engaging opportunity available for a Senior Construction & ARO Advisor to join their organization. This position is responsible for the planning and execution of Canadian Refined Products (CRP) capital projects, site maintenance, and oversight of environmental compliance work at the sites.

The portfolio of capital projects consists of comprehensive site improvement renovations, new technology offerings, and end of life equipment replacement, as defined by the annual capital plan. Site maintenance involves providing technical guidance to maintenance technicians to support decision making and prioritization of work, within a fixed budget. Environmental compliance oversight involves ensuring that environmental monitoring and remediation work at site is conducted safely, and in alignment with established processes.

What you’ll do:

  • Capital project planning (scope of work definition, cost estimates, business case, gate reviews)

  • Capital project execution (safety focus, contractor management, cost & schedule management)

  • Technical guidance to maintenance technicians

  • Environmental oversight

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Engineering degree or Business Degree Required

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience

  • Minimum of technical diploma

  • Professional Engineering designation an asset

  • Petroleum Oriented Safety Training (POST) Level I or II an asset

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) an asset

For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate
