About this opportunity:
Cenovus is seeking a Senior Mid/Long Range Planner to oversee the Ohio refinery network, including the Lima and Toledo refineries. This role involves developing mid-range (4-24 months) and long-range (2-10 years) volume plans, collaborating with refinery teams and commercial planners to optimize profitability and minimize maintenance impacts. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, strong communicator and have superior analytical skills.
What you’ll do:
Lead the development of mid and long-range plans for the Ohio Network to maximize annual gross margin
Drive optimal crude slate and product mix
Identify and understand key constraints and impacts to the mid and long-range plans
Minimize the impact of maintenance and turnaround events through reduced frequency and timing
Develop and communicate mid-range TAR hydrocarbon plans to support site NaviTrack objectives
Provide support to the Short Term Network Planner during outages and maintenance
Engage regularly with Trading, Supply & Logistics, Marketing, Manufacturing Business Office, Refinery Economics Departments, and Fundamentals
Manage crude volumes of approximately 8-10 MMBBLS per month
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
8+ years experience in Refining, Downstream Supply or a Production business environment
Degree in Engineering, a Chemical Engineering degree is considered an asset
Experience with planning tools such as ASPEN PIMS, AVEVA Spiral, PETRO, etc. is required
Solid understanding of refinery unit processes, with experience in considering refinery and supply constraints to determine economic incentives and develop solutions
Experience participating in meetings to identify gaps in planning and optimization processes
