Possible placement includes:


TSL Commercial Analytics - This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in process improvement, data analysis, and solution development, while working with various stakeholders to optimize reporting and analysis capabilities.

Supply Optimization - you will gain valuable experience working with various departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, inventory management, and alignment with production and sales forecasts. This role offers the opportunity to work with supply chain processes, reporting, and planning in a real-world environment.

What you’ll do

TSL Commercial Analytics

  • Assist in using technology and data analytics to support the Commercial Front-Office in improving reporting and analysis.

  • Help identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to project planning and development.

  • Collaborate in designing and developing data solutions to enhance reporting efficiency.

  • Support the implementation of new solutions and assist in training team members to ensure long-term sustainability.

  • Participate in technology upgrades and data standardization efforts to improve data access and insights.

Supply Optimization

  • Support supply planning activities for Lloydminster and Superior Refineries, collaborating with marketing, logistics, accounting, and manufacturing teams.

  • Assist in maintaining inventory positions, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts and production plans.

  • Help prepare and communicate supply plans, forecasts, and business unit reports across stakeholders.

  • Participate in operations meetings and contribute to monthly supply nominations and inventory reconciliation.

  • Create and manage supply and inventory dashboards, supporting accurate reporting and mid-month estimates.

Who you are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa).

  • Available to begin work in May 2025.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Solid analytical and Microsoft Suite skills, specifically Excel.

  • Excellent interpersonal, judgement, and decision-making skills.

We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.

Education

  • Must be enrolled in a Business Undergraduate Program (Finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Marketing areas preferred) at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.

  • Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered.

  • New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
