POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Managed by Cogir Immobilier, the mission of the Richeloises residence is to offer seniors a life support system in a safe and warm environment, where our wonderful team makes all the difference for our residents.
Located on the banks of the Richelieu, the residence is warm and is happy to welcome autonomous and semi-autonomous residents. Here, we have delicious full meals at low prices, free parking, a social club, continuing education, not to mention free coffee and smiles!
We are currently looking for an Assistant to the Health Care Manager, permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week, daytime from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and weekends as needed (in case of replacement).
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer medication according to safety principles and the code of ethics
- Collaborate in maintaining the bond of trust with the families or loved ones of the residents as well as with the various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)
- Collaborate in the follow-up of the medical file, occasionally appointments and prescriptions of the resident
- Contribute to the adjustment and development of the residents' intervention plan through their observations
- Follow up on residents' medical files and prescriptions at the request of the doctor, pharmacist or CISSS
- Record notes in residents' files in accordance with the requirements of the Order of Nurses and Auxiliary Nurses of Quebec (OIIAQ) and keep them rigorously up to date
- Work closely with the Head of Health Services
- A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing
- At lease 3 to 5 years of experience in nursing with a minimum of 1 year in administration
- Member of the OIIAQ or the or OIIQ
- Ease in the use of computer tools
- Nursing Management Experience
- Discretion and respect for confidentiality
- Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
