POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the Corporate Accountant will be called upon to work in a dynamic and vibrant team. The position holder will be responsible for monthly accounting, i.e. bank reconciliations, journal entries, analysis of balance sheet accounts and financial statements as well as the preparation of annual audit files for the various corporate entities of Cogir.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze monthly financial reports and compare them with approved budgets
  • Carry out the various monthly and year-end reconciliations
  • Ensure that the internal controls in place are implemented
  • Ensure the integrity and completeness of the financial information presented in the financial statements
  • Establish and maintain good business relationships with various internal and external clients.
  • Make the necessary journal entries monthly
  • Participate in special projects assigned to him/her
  • Participate in the execution of audit files as part of the annual audit
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • University degree (BAC) in accounting, finance or related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in accounting
  • Good command of MS Office software, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of HOPEM and YARDI (an asset)
