POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Site Superintendent to join our dynamic team. In this key role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising construction site work, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met. You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure smooth operations, while ensuring compliance with safety requirements and regulations.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a representative of Cogir Construction and maintain good relations
- Carry out work such as construction plans and specifications
- Ensure compliance with laws and standards on the construction site (health, safety, construction, etc.)
- Establish priorities and direct subcontractors according to the project schedule
- Guarantor of the social climate on the construction site
- Minimize budgetary impacts by respecting the project manager's decisions
- Oversee equipment management: delivery, reception, storage and handling of equipment
- Participate in site meetings and plan coordination meetings
- Plan, coordinate and supervise work on site (schedule, quality control, etc.)
- Work closely with the Project Manager (monitoring, communicating deadlines, etc.)
- Write daily work reports
- Between 5 and 10 years of experience as a Site Superintendent (10 years is an asset)
- Experience in residential or condominium construction (an asset)
- Proficiency in reading plans and specifications
- Computer knowledge
- Good knowledge of standards and laws in the construction sector
