Le St-Patrick is a private seniors' residence located in Upper Quebec City, two blocks from the Plains of Abraham. We are looking for a part-time daytime caregiver position on weekends. Stable hours. Free indoor parking. ***Candidates must have a vocational diploma (DVS) in caregiver training or a RAC certificate, or 5,000 hours accumulated over the last 5 years as a PAB (Personal Assistance Program) + up-to-date 16-hour CPR + completed PDSP.***
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, daytime Salary: Based on experience, starting at $19.50 per hour
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Comply with standards and regulations in accordance with the certification of private seniors' residences and employer policies
- Provide a range of health and hygiene care while respecting the integrity and dignity of residents, in collaboration with the team
- Respect and promote proactive care among residents
- Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
- Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
- Respond to all emergency situations
- While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.
- Up-to-date CPR/AED general first aid training
- PDSP Training
- AP/RPA or DEP training in assistance to people in establishments and at home
