The location in Port Mellon, is seeking talent to fill the position of Shutdown Coordinator.
As a valued member of our Maintenance & Engineering teams, the Shutdown Coordinator will monitor processes to improve planning and work execution for both routine and major/minor shutdowns, resulting in minimum downtime for maximum operational productivity.
Position Summary & Responsibilities:
- Monitor processes to improve planning and work execution for both routine and major/minor shutdowns.
- Maintain and report all designated KPIs, reporting, audit planning, scheduling/tracking for maintenance department.
- Work with Domtar HQ to improve input on Shutdown, Maintenance and procurement systems.
- Monitor execution of selected contactor Shutdown scopes.
- Manage SAP system and Project schedules for both routine & shutdowns work scopes.
- Ensure Shutdown Tasks (T-Minus) are on time.
- Provide direction and support for Planning initiatives.
- Work with Domtar head office IT team to implement SAP Shutdown projects and improvements.
- Ensuring employee & contractor compliance with HSPP safety & ISO policies and requirements.
- Promote safety & environmental awareness.
- Cover Planning roles on short-term relief basis.
Qualifications:
- Planner experience with demonstrated ability to organize, schedule and coordinate tasks/resources (2 year minimum).
- Pulp and Paper Industry experience an asset.
- SAP PM and PS Module Certification an asset.
- Extensive experience with SAP Modules and Maintenance Scheduling MS Project or Sockey.
- Strong technical background in CMMs systems/data management.
- Strong oral and written skills.
- Strong leadership, multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for liaison between management, technical staff/union employees and contractor supervisors.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly rate of $58.09 per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement.
- Overtime is compensated per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement.
- Comprehensive benefit packager including extended Health & Dental and Pension Plan
