In this role, you will define and develop the integrity management framework and strategy for above ground storage tanks (AST) constructed following API 650. You will act as a technical liaison and company-wide point of contact for above ground storage assets by providing expertise and technical support across the Liquids Pipelines business unit.

What you will do:

  • Define and develop the management framework and strategy for the above ground storage tanks integrity management program. Including: collaborate with key stakeholders to define, agree and document the structure of the program for the entire PDCA cycle, ensuring alignment with Enbridge’s Integrity Management Program (IMP), Enbridge roles and accountabilities, regulatory requirements and business needs.

  • Apply specific subject matter expertise, combining regulatory knowledge and business acumen, to support the update of technical documentation owned and maintained by Facilities Integrity Planning, ensuring it remains the source of truth for above ground storage assets across the organization.

  • Advance regular and daily Facilities Integrity Planning activities for above ground storage assets, to implement risk reduction initiatives, optimization, and long-term program planning.

  • Support the Facilities Integrity (FI) Execution team, Execution Partners, and Regional Operations in what is required to advance the out and in service inspection programs, striving to reduce the potential for leaks and ensure compliance, while positively influencing our company’s System Integrity performance metric.

  • Act as a technical liaison and point of contact for aboveground storage assets. Provide expertise and technical support across the Liquids Pipelines business unit, to guide technical teams across the company, supporting activities related to the entire life cycle of the above ground storage assets.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and registered as a Professional Engineer or eligible for registration with APEGA is required.

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience, 10 years is preferred.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing API 650 and/or API 653 codes, and/or API 653 Storage Integrity Management Programs.

  • Strong technical and investigative skills.

  • Effective interpersonal skills that include oral and written communication required to connect with a variety of internal and external parties.

  • A valid passport and ability to travel Internationally and represent Enbridge.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
