Description
Responsibilities:
· Manage a total quality program, including charting strategic quality initiatives, establish quality systems and elaborate company quality policies.
· Manage customer quality programs, supplier quality audit initiatives and resolve customer complaints and related issues.
· Reviewing and approving (stamping) internally generated NCRs.
· Maintaining NCR&CAR data and answering customer NCRs.
· Preparing and presenting projects related to customers’ supplier chain programs (for example 5 Star Bombardier program).
· Liaise with supplier for process and quality improvement of supplied parts.
· Prepare for and coordinate AS 9100 and special processes NADCAP audits.
· Coordinate and successfully complete customer initiated quality audits.
· Initiate and lead all internal audits.
· Acquiring new specifications and processes approvals.
· Answer to audit findings and ensuring corrective actions are efficient.
· Ensure maximum quality standards are achieved with minimum cost.
· Maintain and establish proper documentation on quality specifications.
· Lead the coordination, development, writing, editing and maintenance of all quality documentation and procedures for existing and desired quality certifications, including ISO9001/AS 9100 accreditations.
· Directly supervise quality personnel to ensure quality procedures are followed by all employees of the organization.
· Giving hands on training to quality personnel (lab technicians, quality planners, document specialist, final inspector).
· Organizing training, testing, and certifying all employees.
· Giving support and instructions to lab personnel in making decisions regarding solution bath maintenance and giving approval in cases of solution replenishment, replacement, filtration etc.
· Making final decision regarding quality issues in final inspection.
· Giving support to quality planners and resolving customer PO issues.
· Giving instructions to purchasing agent regarding prime customer approved materials (paints and chemicals) that need to be ordered.
· Reviewing Gauge Track software reports.
· Checking and approving calibration reports for outsourced calibration of heat treat equipment.
· Contacting suppliers in case of incorrect calibration certification report.
· Introducing continuous improvement actions.
· Preparing monthly quality performance reports and maintaining quality performance files.
· Preparing and conducting Management Review Meetings.
· Preparing and conducting Monthly Quality Meetings.
· Reviewing quality documents maintained by quality personnel (approved specification matrix, approved supplier list, periodic and lot test matrix, solution test matrix).
· Answer to customer’s calls regarding quality issues and giving technical support.
· Conducting job interviews for quality personnel.
· Resolving interpersonal issues between quality personnel.
Required Knowledge
· Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
· Proven ability to work effectively with various departments and management staff.
· Ability to direct and handle multiple projects and tasks.
· In-depth knowledge of metal finishing processes and NDT testing methods.
· Excellent organizational and administrative skills required.

· Some flexibility in shift timings required.
Required Qualification and Experience
· A four-year college degree in Engineering or Technology. Five or more years of quality experience with ISO 9001/AS 9100, and Nadcap certification programs as applied to developing a continual improvement process.
