Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band 8, $42.412 to $49.295 (5 step range)

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Reporting to the Manager, Project Services, the position’s primary responsibility is to work with business units and SCA partners to identify, assess the benefits of, plan, develop, lead and/or coordinate changes in business processes, workflow, and resultant information management system requirements and contribute to the IM strategic plan as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, engineering or health care and 2 years directly related experience; or 
  • A diploma in computer technology, engineering or health care and 5 years directly related experience ; or 
  • Seven (7) years’ experience performing business analyst responsibilities.

Experience:

  • Experience in a highly integrated application or process management environment.

Skills:

  • Understanding of business intelligence and process management and SCA enterprise/business requirements.
  • Understanding of technical designs and specifications of SCA and principles systems and software applications.
  • Knowledge of current security applications and procedures, and remote access services.
  • Knowledge of associated policies, guidelines in order to ensure changes are in compliance with requirements.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and maintains currency with technology trends and internal program and system changes.
  • Communication skills are required to develop and present complex information including written documentation and verbal presentations to audiences with varying levels of comprehension ability.
  • Ability to comprehend complex business issues.
  • Ability to seek out and evaluate new methodologies, adapts, amend or modify to meet SCA requirements.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills to lead project teams, through analysis, development, testing and implementation phases.
  • Initiative and independent judgement required to solve complex problems. 
  • Human relations skills required to ensure compliance and promote acceptance through  negotiating with staff and suppliers where there is a requirement to resolve the conflict or situation.
  • Human relations skills required when meeting with vendors and SCA staff regarding compliance and acceptance issues, such as promoting standards to enhance interoperability between stakeholders or meet certification requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in various stages of completion according to priorities.
  • Research skills are required.
  • Maintain Confidentiality. 
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Métis people.
