Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band 8, $42.412 to $49.295 (5 step range)
Reporting to the Provincial Manager, Architecture and Technology, the Network and Server Analyst has responsibility for implementation and ongoing support of network, server and mobility infrastructure along with operating systems and applications that support the operations of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration and two (2) years network or server experience or a diploma in computer technology and five (5) years directly related experience, or current, valid industry standard network, server or virtualization certification and seven (7) years directly related experience.
Experience:
- Requires previous experience with:
- Server technology: Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, Citrix
- Network Technology: TCP/IP, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless Systems
- Microsoft Azure and M365 Applications and licensing
- Management of Azure Tenant
Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments concurrently while maintaining high levels of quality and effectiveness.
- Ability to work as part of a team including those lead by project manager or peers.
- Ability to quickly develop an understanding of current SCA business enterprise applications, SCA security policy and applications, Health privacy legislation (HIPA).
- Demonstrated analytical skill and ability to assess, develop, configure, test, document, implement and maintain technology infrastructure systems, applications, and networks.
- Judgment and problem solving ability is required to identify and analyze complex business technological issues and develop appropriate solutions.
- Human Relations skills are required to interact with a variety of individuals internal and external to the Agency in order to obtain cooperation and acceptance when implementing new or upgrading systems and when negotiating with external vendors and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of and ability to research industry best practices and infrastructure solutions.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of infrastructure hardware: blade infrastructure chassis and systems, storage arrays.
- Knowledge of network components: firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points.
- Knowledge of operating systems: Microsoft, Linux, VM Ware, Cisco, Citrix.
- Knowledge of network and routing protocols: TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of enterprise server applications: Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, SCCM and Security.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and Microsoft 365 Applications
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive.
- Knowledge of Azure licensing
