Lead Accountant wanted for a leading boutique law firm in downtown Vancouver!

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a leading boutique law firm based in Downtown Vancouver. Their team of lawyers come from internationally recognized law firms and they boast a social work environment!

ABOUT THE ROLE

My client is looking for an established Senior Accountant / Analyst to join their accounting and finance team. Working very closely with the accounting manager, you will be the lead member of the team to support the day to day accounting cycle as well as a great opportunity for succession planning down the line.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

• Contribution to supporting the full cycle accounting and finance including preparation of financial statement and analysis of this
• Comply and implement internal controls, policies and procedures
• Monitoring of cash flow as well as analysis and forecasting
• Tax compliance and assistance in external audits
• Budget preparation (operational and capital) as well as forecasting
• Acting as internal champion for compliant, efficient, and effective trust processes
• Ad-hoc accounting support including light mentoring and operational improvements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong working knowledge of accounting fundamentals and legal accounting software applications, including PCLaw or 3E or other legal accounting software
• 3-5 years of accounting experience - ideally within a legal environment or professional services
• Experience managing or supervising a team is required
• Desire to grow with leadership qualities

BENEFITS AND WHAT WE CAN PROVIDE:

• Competitive salary dependent on experience - around $80,000 - $110,000 Salary is dependent on experience
• 3 or 4 Weeks’ Vacation
