Commercial Real Estate Associate

A leading Canadian national has been having consistent success in growing their team based in Calgary. They are now currently looking to add a talented and experienced commercial real estate associate to their expanding practice group. If you have solid experience in the area and want to work on complex transactions in a team that epitomizes teamwork and collegiality, this is the role for you.

With over 100 years of successfully providing legal services, this full-service law firm has been growing and expanding throughout Western Canada and is now well positioned as one of the largest National Firms in the country. With their quality of work, client connections, and stellar office culture, their office in downtown Calgary is currently expanding and looking to emulate the growth seen in their sister offices.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a great opportunity to join a thriving practice and work with some of the most prominent developers, landowners, and investors in the city. The associate who joins the small team and have opportunities to learn and work closely with leaders in the industry.

The practice encompasses all core areas of real estate (commercial leasing, development, financing, and acquisitions). This position will provide a good blend of autonomy and collaboration as the associate will be given sole conduct over smaller files while working alongside the partner on the largest.

There will be opportunity to have a flexible working schedule.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Called to the Alberta Bar and be a member of good standing in the Law Society of Alberta
• 4+ years of post call experience, with an emphasis on commercial real estate law
• Comfortable with an annual billable target of 1600
• Excellent verbal and written communication ability, and possess a team player attitude
