Financial Analyst

About the client and role:
A well-established real estate investment firm with a strong track record in multifamily property acquisitions and management is seeking a Portfolio Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst. This role is based in Vancouver, BC, and will play a key part in financial analysis, forecasting, and planning for a diverse property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for a property portfolio
  • Conduct financial analysis, modeling, reforecasting, and reporting
  • Track portfolio debt and lender reporting
  • Work closely with internal teams to support capital project cash planning
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support investment decisions
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Asset Management, Construction, and Accounting, to ensure financial accuracy and process improvements
  • Review property performance, identify trends, and support strategic decisions
  • Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing models
  • Support executive-level reporting and presentations

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Real Estate
  • 3+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, or real estate
  • CFA and/or CPA designation (or in progress) is an asset
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, data analysis, dashboards)
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager or Business Intelligence (BI) tools is a plus
  • Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Compensation:

  • $70,000-$85,000
  • Up to 10% bonus
