We are hiring a Human Resources Director for our professional services client. Based in Downtown Vancouver, this is a newly created role that will lead a small but mighty national HR team. We are seeking an HR professional with 5+ years of experience in an HR Director role in a professional services industry - legal, engineering, public practice. The ideal Director will have experience leading an organization through change management as a result of growth.

The Human Resources Director is integral in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives and will be a key participant in leading an exciting period of change and growth.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Human Resources Director will lead HR strategies, enduring alignment with the companies’ goals and objectives. Prior leadership experience is required, experience leading an organization through a period of change and growth is desired. The Human Resources Director will oversee all aspects of HR; this includes workforce planning, change management, retention and talent strategies, partner to senior leadership and leading a small national HR team.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Provides leadership for a team of 3 HR professionals at a national level.
Ensures that HR strategies align with organizational goals and objectives.
Provides guidance and advice to senior leadership.
Supports workforce planning and talent management.
Develops and implements HR policies and programs.
Manages performance management, goal setting and succession planning.
Acts as the main point of contact for Vancouver employees on all HR related questions and inquiries.
Leads compensation analysis and strategy.
Designs employee engagement programs, recognition programs specific to a service-based work model - billable hours, professional services.
Leads DEI initiatives.
Manages HR departmental budgets and reporting functions.
Leads special projects and initiatives.

THE REQUIREMENTS

Degree or diploma in Human Resources.
CPHR designation.
5+ years of experience in an HR Director role.
Industry experience in engineering, legal, or public practice - Professional services is required.
Leadership and direct supervision of a team of HR professionals.
Excellent communication skills.
Must be detail oriented.
Prior experience developing and implementing HR programs and policies.
Experience in a growing/changing organization and change management experience.
A people first, open door approach to HR is desired.
Must be able to travel; this is only a few times a year.
Experience reporting to a board of directors is an asset.

COMPENSATION
Annual salary $120,000 - $150,000. Competitive vacation. Employer covered medical benefits. Flexible work schedule. Additional benefits include RSP matching, annual bonus eligibility, generous sick and personal days. Support for education and professional development.
