We are hiring a Human Resources Manager for our insurance industry client. This is a newly created position designed to take the lead on all HR operations and mentor a small team of HR professionals.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is an insurance company with corporate office in Vancouver and multiple branch locations across the province. They are experts in all areas of insurance, and are passionate about participating in the communities their offices are located in.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Human Resources Manager is a newly created role designed to take the lead of the HR department and align HR initiatives to company goals and vision. The HR Manager and their team supports an employee group of 1000+ across BC. The HR Manager will provide branch support, lead conflict resolution and investigations, update and bring policy up to date and handle special projects. The HR Manager will also lead a team of 2 HR professionals and provide guidance to ownership and the senior leadership team.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Manages and develops the human resources department.
Supports branch leadership and employee questions.
Coaches and guides managers through performance management, leads conflict resolution and investigations.
Supports talent acquisition.
Ensures HR policies and programs are up-to-date and in accordance with BC employment standards.
Updates training and development programs and materials.
Benefits and compensation.
Employee and recognition programs.
Updating HR onboarding and HRIS systems.

THE REQUIREMENTS

Degree or diploma in Human Resources.
CPHR designation.
4+ years of experience in an HR Manager role with direct HR reports.
Must have HR leadership experience.
Prior experience managing conflict and leading investigations.
Experience updating systems, policies and process.
Streamlining HR processes, ensuring compliance.
Provides recommendations to leadership regarding performance management, policy updates, new program development and overall suggestions for improving HR functions and support.
Experience partnering with outside counsel for litigation requiring HR support.

COMPENSATION
Annual salary range is $95,000 - $120,000. Flexible work hours. Competitive vacation and comprehensive benefits. Professional dues paid, education support, annual bonus eligibility, and parking.
