We are seeking an experienced ICBC Insurance Defense Legal Administrative Assistant to join our clients’ dynamic litigation practice. This role will support both a Partner and a Paralegal, offering the opportunity to contribute to a high-performing legal team. The ideal candidate will have solid legal administrative experience, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while being an effective team player.

About The Opportunity
As an ICBC Insurance Defense Legal Administrative Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the legal team with day-to-day administrative tasks. This role provides an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong organizational skills and litigation experience, particularly in insurance defense.

About The Position

  • Drafting and transcribing legal documents and correspondence.
  • Managing bookings for mediations, discoveries, trials, and client meetings.
  • Ensuring smooth file management.
  • Maintaining an active bring forward system.
  • Managing both open and closed files.
  • Preparing and following up on monthly billing statements
  • Providing general administrative support as assigned.

The Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in a Litigation LAA role, with prior experience in ICBC being an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook, with prior experience using Elite 3E advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines in a high-volume practice.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of litigation legal procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information.

Compensation

  • Salary $55,000 - $70,000 dependent on years of experience.
  • Competitive benefits package.
