Senior Accountant

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Impact Recruitment has partnered with a well-established financial advisory firm with a 20-year track record in the industry. This firm manages multiple public companies in the mining and oil and gas sectors, offering comprehensive corporate administration, financial, and strategic advisory services. They are currently looking to add a Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at 3+ years of relevant experience.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the CFO, the senior accountant will be responsible for, but limited to:

• Work in collaboration with auditors to complete small and mid-size audit engagements
• Reconciling working papers to agree to financial statements
• Coordinate preparation of corporate tax returns with tax firm
• Complete financial statements with notes in accordance with IFRS for review
• Complete management discussion and analysis in accordance with IFRS for review
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Ad hoc duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Experience working with public companies is an asset.
• Public practice experience is an asset
• Diploma or degree in accounting
• Pursuing CPA
• 5 days in office role, with some flexibility.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Salary: $75,000 to $85,000
• Discretionary bonus
• Extended health and dental benefits.
• 3 weeks vacation
