Description
Our client, a prominent organization in Vancouver’s mid-market insurance industry, is seeking an experienced Underwriter to join their Pacific region team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in property and casualty underwriting who is looking to grow within a supportive, small-team environment.

Responsibilities
- Underwrite a range of property and casualty insurance policies, including package policies, CGL, D&O, E&O, and crime coverage
- Manage and grow a renewal portfolio, redistributing accounts as needed
- Work closely with brokers, with an expectation for in-person visits
- Write new business with a current target of approximately $400k, which may increase over time
- Report directly to the Regional Vice President in the Pacific region
- Collaborate with a team of underwriters and associates, helping to promote and fill roles as necessary
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of underwriting experience, specifically in property and casualty lines
- Experience in managing renewals and new business development
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
