Site Superintendent roles for wood frame residential project in BC

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Family-owned group of businesses that has been around since the 80's. This division focuses on General contracting projects and in the future will build for the development arm of the business. Projects vary from residential multi-family to commercial and special projects. The group of companies has over 300 employees throughout the businesses, and they are in growth mode. The GC arm has a flat organizational structure and prides themselves on hiring strong candidates who have high internal accountability.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A great opportunity to come in and take over a $30M residential project in BC. You will run the project start to finish and can build out a great and prosperous career with this firm as they have a strong pipeline of projects for the next 3-4 years.

ABOUT THE POSITION

  • Master the trade coordination; including manage schedules, avoiding overlaps and site conflicts.
  • Push the schedule and deliver the project on time by foreseeing and dealing any concerns.
  • Monitor the project budget to prevent any cost overruns.
  • Master the drawings to rectify construction challenges before they arise.
  • Deal with challenging workforce issues that arise.
  • Anticipate and minimize any issue that arise.
  • Treat safety as a priority
  • A key task will be balancing the needs of schedule, budget and safety.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience as a Superintendent working on wood frame projects
  • Start to finish project experience with projects of over $30M
  • Willing to work out of town
  • Local BC experience
  • Procore and MS Project software experience

COMPENSATION

  • $120,000 - $150,000
  • Discretionary bonuses
  • LOA
  • 2-3 weeks vacation
  • RRSP matching
  • Health and dental benefits
