Canada Games: Quebec, 2027
As the largest amateur multi-sport competition in the country, the Canada Games bring together over 3,000 high calibre athletes and coaches in more than twenty disciplines. Alternating between summer and winter, every two years, they showcase the immense talent and perseverance of our champions. The winter edition of the Canada Games will take place in Quebec City from February 26 to March 15, 2027.
Your Role
History is made with the right people. As the Coordinator, Athletes Village you will be responsible for implementing all necessary measures to create a safe, welcoming, and memorable environment for all participants of the 2027 Canada Games. Every detail counts: you will ensure the Athletes’ Village becomes a true "home away from home," providing an exceptional experience that reflects the Games’ standards of excellence.
Your Mission
Your talent and energy will enable you to:
- Coordinate and implement all essential aspects of the Athletes Village, including:
- Athlete Services
- Entertainment activities and spaces
- Village logistics and material management
- Laundry and towel services
- Sports equipment storage
- Coaches' lounge
- Athletes’ Village Information Centre
- Support management in requests for proposals, budget tracking, and procurement;
- Assist in coordinating food services, transportation services, mission secretarial assignments, and mission staff offices;
- Collaborate with Site teams and Sport Organizing Committees (SOC) to track objectives, timelines, and requirements for competition sites located within the Athletes Village;
- Support the Site management model and Site teams to ensure successful Games delivery;
- Supervise the assignment and completion of Village-related tasks by a large number of volunteers;
Keys to success
Want to join our team? Here's what you'll need:
- College diploma in Tourism, recreation, project management, sports management, event planning, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in Project management or sports event planning.
- Volunteer management experience: an asset.
- Knowledge of the sports environment : an asset.
- Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Criminal background check required
