Canada Games: Québec, 2027
As the largest amateur multi-sport competition in the country, the Canada Games bring together over 3,000 high calibre athletes and coaches in more than twenty disciplines. Alternating between summer and winter, every two years, they showcase the immense talent and perseverance of our champions. The winter edition of the Canada Games will take place in Quebec City from February 26 to March 15, 2027.
The 2027 Canada Games Host Society is looking for bold minds to create memorable Games. Your mission? Join a passionate team that will create exceptional moments for both athletes and visitors while building a lasting legacy of excellence and innovation for our community.
Your Role
History is made with the right people. As the Coordinator, Volunteer and Accreditation, you'll be at the heart of recruiting and managing thousands of volunteers who will make these Games memorable. You'll also ensure the implementation of the accreditation process, guaranteeing that everyone involved in the Games has access to the right places.
Your Mission
Your talent and energy will enable you to:
- Build an exceptional volunteer team for the Games:
- Develop creative recruitment strategies
- Coordinate recruitment, screening and selection
- Create inspiring orientation and training programs
- Design recognition initiatives that leave a lasting impression
- Masterfully orchestrate volunteer logistics:
- Become an expert in GEMS.pro for registration and scheduling
- Analyze data and measure the success of our initiatives
- Support departments in planning their volunteer needs
- Make the Volunteer Center a vibrant and welcoming space
- Become the anchor point for our team of passionate volunteers:
- Answer questions with enthusiasm
- Actively participate in community engagement events
- Listen attentively and propose innovative solutions
- Master the art of accreditation:
- Develop an action plan to accredit more than 15,000 people
- Create and manage efficient timelines
- Solve challenges with creativity and optimism
- Ensure a smooth experience for everyone
Keys to success
Want to join our team? Here's what you'll need:
- College diploma in recreation, project management, event planning or related field
- 3 years of experience in event management, planning or scheduling
- Experience managing or coordinating volunteer teams (an asset)
- Fluency in French (written and spoken)
- Functional level of English
- Criminal background check required
