Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join our team in a unionized plant. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will play a key role in planning, developing and strategically managing the workforce to support our company’s production and growth objectives.
Profile of qualities and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related field;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management in a unionized environment, ideally in a manufacturing environment;
- Excellent knowledge of workforce management practices, labor relations and health and safety prevention;
- Strong coaching and management support skills;
- Ability to work in a team and manage priorities independently;
- Fluency in French and English, to communicate easily with your colleagues in the English-speaking provinces and the United States.

- Annual salary ($85,000 – $120,000) to be determined based on qualifications and a performance bonus.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Workforce Planning: Ensure effective planning of workforce needs, including succession, while respecting capital and operating budgets.
- Skills Development: Design and implement the training plan to promote the continuous development of employees.
- Coaching and Supervisor Support: Provide coaching to supervisors for goal setting, compensation management, performance reviews and the development of skills development plans for all employees.
- Labour Relations and Continuous Improvement: Manage labour relations and apply the company’s business policies and processes. Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Health and Safety: Participate in accident prevention and manage Health and Safety files, including disability and CNESST file management.
- Training for key positions: Train key position holders to ensure mastery of each business process.
