The Global Mobility Team is responsible for delivering the Global Opportunities (GO) program in Canada. The GO program is KPMG’s international assignment program where we facilitate the movement of our people on short-term and long-term assignments to KPMG offices around the world. The team also supports all international and domestic relocations for the Canadian firm and assists with Canadian immigration and permanent residency matters.
As the Operations Manager, you would oversee the operational matters for the Global Mobility team. You will be directly responsible for implementing and operationalizing the team’s programs and processes and implementing the Global Mobility technology & automation road map including development, execution and continuous improvement of the finance, vendor, and operational team processes. In this role you will be responsible for multiple operational processes, manage key stakeholder relationships, and implement efficiencies across the team. You will also play a key role in accelerating technology and innovation within the Global Mobility team.
What you will do
Technology, Service Optimization & Operations
- Accelerates the Technology, Data, Digitization & Automation Capabilities of the Global Mobility team
- Operationalizes the Global Mobility technology and automation road map
- Develops and implements processes that are efficient and effective to support good practices and corporate standards
- Manages all process documents to ensure that all processes and operations are defined, documented and adhered to by all parties
- Responsible for ensuring all team documentation (SOPs, KPMG Knowledge Base, HR intranet) are updated regularly.
- Oversees Offshore processes including identifying new processes to move to offshore
- Implements solutions to streamline processes & improve efficiencies
Finance
- Oversees Finance Operations for the team (A/P, A/R, Escalations, etc)
- Manages Finance processes for the team
- Oversees invoices to/from member firms
- Oversees and trains offshore support on Finance processes
Vendor Management
- Negotiates vendor contracts as renewals come due
- Maintains relationships and ensures vendors meet SLA’s
- Review vendor processes for efficiencies
- Ensures all compliance updates from vendors are reflected in SOP’s and team training
- Oversees the processing of all vendor invoices
Reporting & Projects
- Leads special projects to improve the firm or employee experience
- Responsible for reviewing and analyzing metrics each month
- Oversees reporting requirements
- Participates on and supports team projects and initiatives
- Provide regular communication and reporting to the Workforce Mobility Leader and escalate issues and obstacles as appropriate
- Coach & mentor junior members of team.

What you bring to the role
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in operations and project management
- 5+ years of experience in a high volume environment
- Strong data analysis and reporting abilities
- Superior communication (oral & written), presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using technology including Excel, Powerpoint.and HR case management systems
- Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands
- Success in influencing and providing counsel to an array of stakeholders
- Ability and experience to prioritize work based on requirements of multiple stakeholders.
- Coaching experience.
- An ability and desire to follow processes consistently and to create efficiencies as required.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Enjoy working in a fast paced, highly demanding, team environment
This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support KPMG employees nationally and will be required to communicate with English-speaking colleagues. This individual will be required to create documentation and share guidance to those in English-speaking provinces.
KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $76,500 to $115,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program
