Description
This opportunity is specifically designed for students who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, Metis) peoples of Canada and are interested in exploring career opportunities at KPMG in Canada.
KPMG Ace the Case 2025 will provide you the opportunity to work with your peers to develop a solution to a business problem and share it with KPMG leadership! You will ignite your passion to create solutions to real-world problems, collaborate with students from across the country, develop your business skills and grow your network within KPMG in Canada.
The Case Competition for undergraduate STEM students, business students, or students looking to achieve their CPA designation will provide you with a taste of what it’s like to work at KPMG in Canada, and an opportunity to participate in a spotlight session showcasing the CPA support provided by our firm. Working in teams with peers in your region, you will collaborate to solve a real-world business problem by completing a case study through a business, digital and CPA lens, receiving valuable feedback from industry professionals.
KPMG Ace the Case is ideal for students who are interested in building a career in audit, tax or advisory at KPMG.
Winners of the local competition will be invited to our national competition where teams will present their case to a panel of KPMG leaders in Toronto.
Prizes for winning teams may include KPMG swag, scholarships, a trip to Toronto, and a guaranteed interview for an open KPMG role in a future recruitment cycle!

What you will do
Hosted by KPMG professionals, you will be trained by industry leaders to succeed in the case competition. We will be hosting case writing and presentation skills workshops. The knowledge you’ll gain from these workshops will be valuable to you at school, in other business competitions, and later in your professional career. These elements make KPMG Ace the Case a once in a lifetime opportunity!
Each winning team from the various local competitions will receive the opportunity to compete in the national competition in Toronto. In addition to meeting students from across the country you will get the opportunity to network with KPMG leaders from across the business and grow your connections with our firm.
How can you apply?

We are excited to offer a variety of both virtual and in-person local competitions, tailored to different office locations. What you bring to the role
To participate in KPMG Ace the Case 2025, you must be currently:
- Enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution
- Not employed at KPMG (or holding a future-dated offer)
- Planning to pursue a career at KPMG
- In your first to third year of an undergraduate business or STEM program
Interested students may apply as an individual and will submit:
- Resume
- Latest unofficial transcript (not required for first years)
Please note there is no cover letter requirement
* In the event that the application process asks for the submission of a cover letter, you have the option to submit either your resume or an unofficial transcript as an alternative.
If selected, students will be grouped into teams. Teams will meet the following criteria:
- Four to six students per team
- Teams will be composed of more than one gender identity
- Mix of STEM students, business students and/or students looking to achieve their CPA designation
All applications must be received no later than January 12, 2025.
Those invited to participate will receive their invitation to the local competition within two weeks of the application deadline.
