The Waseskun Healing community, which has been operating since 1988, is a dynamic and focused on providing a healing environment for the men under our care. As one of six (6) Indigenous healing lodges and the only one east of Manitoba we use a unique approach to dealing with past traumatic life experiences, including those related to residential schools. Working as part of team composed of spiritual Elders and helpers, program staff and the administration, we work in conjunction with Correctional Services Canada and Quebec. Recently we have also started working with court ordered therapy through the NITSIQ program for Inuit men.

Working under the supervision of the Director and/or Deputy Director the case manager's areas of responsibility include the following:

- Develop resident healing plans based on each individual's life story and experience;
- Integrate the objectives of each healing plan to mark the progress of the individuals at our resource;
- Ensure that our partners are aware of the progress or lack of for each individual;
- Prepare occasional reports for escorted outings, etc.;
- Work with the Waseskun team and the communities to develop successful positive reintegration back to the community and family;
- Work with the team to devlop family therapy sessions;
- All other duties related
