Essential Responsibilities
- Develop 3D civil models (Road, Bridge, Earthworks, Utilities, etc.) from 2D drawings and technical specifications
- Produce drawings based on BIM model
- Process Drone’s Photogrammetry and Lidar datasets
- Perform quantity take-offs to support estimating
- Support model-related project coordination
- Address and resolve model and design issues with the project team
- Gather information from project stakeholders for incorporation into the BIM model
- Conduct clash detections and assist in developing solutions with the project team
- Coordinate 3D laser scans/point cloud models
- Implement model-related document management systems on projects, including document control activities as needed
Qualifications
- 3-8 years of experience working with BIM-related software, with proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D. Experience with Trimble Business Center, Revit parametric modeling, and Navisworks is beneficial
- Educational background in civil or structural engineering and geomatics, with BIM technology/animation as a plus
- Experience with civil construction design preferred
- Knowledge of Dynamo, Python, Revizto, and BIM implementation is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a team environment, self-motivated, and eager to learn and take on new challenges
