Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager, Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity is responsible for the global coordination of cybersecurity measures related to OT systems, including development, implementation, and continuous improvement. This role will ensure the safe and secure operations of Operational Technology across the 340+ production environments. They are the liaison between the Corporate Cybersecurity team, Operations Leadership, Group and Divisional IT. This position is accountable for ensuring Magna is taking the appropriate steps to protect the availability of local production systems. The OT Cybersecurity manager must drive security awareness and monitor cyber threat intelligence sources, assessing them for potential attack vectors in collaboration with Magna’s central Security Operations Center (SOC). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuing the security and integrity of our Industry 4.0 systems.
Your Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals to partner with Operations leadership and the Magna Cybersecurity teams in performing cybersecurity risk assessments of Operational Technology. Identify security gaps, translate gaps into concrete plans or mitigation steps, and oversee the execution of security-related projects.
Guide the team in applying knowledge of Operational Technology, Industrial Control Systems, Internet of Things, Industrial Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, Supervisory Control, and Data Acquisition security architectures to evolve current security architectures that are efficient and meet business needs.
Ensure the team has a strong understanding and experience with RTO (Recovery Time Objective), RPO (Recovery Point Objective), Operation Technology Asset Inventory, Secure Remote Access, and LAN Segmentation (segregating office network from the factory floor network).
Oversee the team in conducting effective security architecture reviews, ensuring that designs achieve the desired security requirements, scalability, and resilience.
Direct the team in producing and maintaining security architecture documents that establish the operational, system, and technical views of Operational Technology security architecture, including all significant areas related to cyber defense.
Develop justifications and risk/cost/benefit analyses for spending initiatives and guide the team in these efforts.
Identify industry trends, opportunities, and security gaps; lead the team in converting those needs and gaps into technical requirements and security strategy roadmaps.
Build both short and long-term security technology roadmaps and strategies and communicate the direction to the leadership team.
Provide guidance to Magna Groups and Divisions for Incident Response planning, processes, and procedures, including tabletop exercises, with the support of the team.
Manage a team of subject matter experts to support Magna Corporate Cybersecurity team and Magna Groups and Divisions in developing and maintaining policies, standards, and guidelines, identifying the specific needs of OT Cybersecurity.
Act as a liaison for OT-specific incident response, coordinating with SOC, incident response teams, vendors, and IT for incident response, with the support of the team.
Support the divisional IT and operational team in educating, coaching, and mentoring in operational technology, leveraging the expertise of the team.
Who we are looking for
5 years’ experience managing and/or directing an IT operation and/or security governing functions.
Proven experience in supporting Cyber Security initiatives, projects and reporting.
Experience in supporting and executing security policies and standards.
Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including information security and defense solutions
Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems.
Working technical knowledge of:
General knowledge of PLCs, robots, and other Industrial Control Systems technologies
Basic understanding of IP, TCP/IP, and other network protocols.
General knowledge of scripting and programming
General knowledge of Microsoft Windows or Linux/BSD operating systems
General knowledge of Cybersecurity, Cloud environments, SIEM technologies
Your preferred qualifications
Good understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities.
Excellent understanding of project management principles.
Experience with Microsoft Office product suite
