AVP - Audit & Advisory Services - Technology

We are looking for a skilled leader to join our Technology Audit & Advisory Services Leadership Team. This AVP role involves providing assurance and advisory services to segment CIOs, helping them make informed decisions aligned with company goals. You will focus on technology delivery processes, initiative portfolio governance, and digital processing. Your responsibilities will include developing the audit strategy and delivering services in partnership with Technology leadership. Position Responsibilities:
  • Offer valuable insights, reports, and consulting to executive-level business collaborators and clients.
  • Collaborate with business collaborators to automate testing and assurance activities and deliver new value.
  • Collaborate with the 1st and 2nd line of defense to improve Process Risk and Control Awareness.
  • Understand the risk management profile of each area of responsibility and monitor performance.
  • Monitor the company’s strategy, operations, and regulatory environment to proactively identify emerging risks.
  • Deliver annual SOX work in collaboration with management, SOX PMO, COEs, and external audit.
  • Assist in preparing reports for business unit audit and risk committees as needed.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of directors and managers.

Required Qualifications:
  • 10 years of combined education and experience in an internal audit, risk, or technology function within a large multinational corporation, ideally in the Financial Services industry.
  • University degree in business administration, computer science, management information systems, or auditing, or equivalent experience in these fields.
  • Recognized auditing (CIA, CISA), accounting designation (CPA), and/or project management (PMP) designation is desired.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, very comfortable with quantitative and financial analysis.
  • High level of conceptual skills and an ability to operate strategically.
  • Outstanding PowerPoint and storytelling abilities.
  • Excellent facilitator and communicator.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in credible management consulting, auditing, or similar strategy roles.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership team members individually and collectively, and get recommendations approved and implemented.
  • Regarded as a realistic and practical individual, respected for the ability to deliver.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with incomplete information but continue to push tasks through based on known information, common sense, and asking the right questions.
  • Strong understanding of the business, customer needs, and market trends; proven ability in critical thinking and implementation.

Salary range is expected to be between

$123,400.00 CAD - $229,300.00 CAD
