Manager, Financial Risk Digital Enablement

The Financial Risk Digital Enablement team deliver globally consistent market and liquidity risk monitoring capabilities for Manulife. We're seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to join our team as a Manager, Financial Risk Digital Enablement. This role will be instrumental in driving the integration of technology and data analytics into our financial risk management processes. We believe that individuals with a CFA, PRM, or FRM designation, combined with expertise in SQL, database language, complex data models, dashboard design, and reporting, bring valuable expertise and insight to this role, and we encourage qualified candidates with these skills and designations to apply. The role reports to the Director of Digital Enablement in the Financial Risk function at Manulife.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your in-depth knowledge of finance, investment analysis, and risk management principles gained through the CFA, PRM, or FRM programs to assess and enhance financial risk management processes.

  • Leverage your expertise in SQL and database language to access, extract, and manipulate complex data for risk modeling and analytics solutions.

  • Apply your understanding of complex data models to develop and maintain advanced risk models and analytics tools.

  • Design and develop dashboards and reporting solutions to effectively communicate risk insights and findings to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts in Financial Risk Oversight teams to ensure implemented analytical tools and data-driven approaches that quantify risk quantification and prediction improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, modelling, and PowerBI.

  • CFA, PRM, or FRM designation is preferred

  • Strong foundation in finance, investment analysis, and risk management principles

  • Proficiency in SQL and database language to extract, manipulate, and analyze complex financial data.

  • Experience in developing and implementing complex data models for risk modeling and analytics.

  • Strong skills in dashboard design and reporting to effectively communicate risk insights and findings to stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Salary range is expected to be between

$86,250.00 CAD - $155,250.00 CAD
