Multimedia Content Creator, Canada Brand

This is a role for a strong multi-platform editorial writer who loves finding innovative and compelling ways to tell one cohesive brand story across consumer touchpoints. Key responsibilities:

  • Pitches stories for our owned channels that enforce our brand narrative and support our marketing goals
  • Uses editorial standard processes to write health and finance content that tells the Manulife brand story across multiple platforms -- including our website, newsletters and social channels.
  • Works with multimedia production editor to produce rich media assets (video, infographics, reports etc) and alternate story formats
  • Works with social media specialist to create copy for posts that build brand and drive to our website
  • Manages a rolling calendar of evergreen content, updating and optimizing content as needed.

Capabilities / Experience:

  • Knowledge of the Canadian Financial and Insurance space
  • Ability to accurately explain and decode complicated topics for a mass audience.
  • Ability to write and edit short, medium and long-form multi-media content under tight deadlines
  • Experience applying different editorial formats to produce compelling content
  • Experience optimizing content considering SEO and Google Analytics
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly collaborative, works well with cross-functional partners

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years reporting and writing experience in an editorial, brand content or agency environment

Salary range is expected to be between

$60,000.00 CAD - $100,000.00 CAD
