Join Our Team: Technology Lead for Talent Management, Employee Experience Design, Global HR

About Us:The Employee Experience Design Global HR team at Manulife is committed to creating exceptional experiences for our colleagues. We focus on understanding employee needs, simplifying complexities, and enabling personalized, curated experiences that matter most.

Your Role:

As the Technology Lead for Talent Management, you will report to the VP of Employee Experience Design, Global HR. Your mission will be to deliver innovative Talent Management technology solutions. You will partner with the Talent Management Center of Excellence and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to support technology projects and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Development:

  • Oversee strategic planning, development, and implementation of Talent Management systems, focusing on Workday.
  • Influence the Workday product roadmap, understanding and articulating business needs to drive and evaluate/set roadmap priorities.
  • Partner with the Delivery Solutions team to develop strategic solutions to enable the strategy across COE's and HR teams
  • Influence the Workday product roadmap by articulating business needs and evaluating priorities.

Collaboration:

  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to ensure system requirements meet business needs. Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to establish and execute business strategy.

Operational:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of technology projects from conception to deployment, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Lead new ways of working, including governance.
  • Provide direction and recommendations on system functionality and design in line with standard methodology and global governance.

Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Talent Management, Performance Enablement, and culture domains.
  • Provide direction and recommendations on system functionality and design in line with best practices and global governance.
  • Partner with the Delivery Solutions and Group Functions team on all phases of Workday implementation, validation, testing, and post-live support.
  • Provide technical recommendations on system functionality and design, ensuring alignment with global governance.

Change Management:

  • Support business requirements documentation, project planning, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Influence communication and change plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in system process ownership and project management.
  • Strong understanding of Talent Management processes and technologies, particularly Workday.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • 4+ years of experience with Talent Management technology in global, large-scale initiatives.
  • Human Centered Design Certification, CHRP/CHRL, or PMP Certification is an asset

Skills:

  • Expertise in modern HR technologies and platforms, especially Workday.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven experience in designing colleague experiences using Human Centered and/or LEAN design principles.
  • Effective communication skills, including client presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • .Strong project management skills, including tools such as Smartsheet.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$84,375.00 CAD - $151,875.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
