Description
Maple Reinders Constructors is currently looking for a Quality Control (QC) Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent to work on the Royal British Columbia Museum project in Colwood, BC. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on finishes/finishing.
The Quality Control (QC) Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent is responsible for conducting quality control inspections, identifying issues, and communicating deficiencies with site staff and trades. The role inspects and corrects all aspects of new construction with a fine attention to detail and the ability to conduct deep dives into an issue.
- Perform and maintain construction inspections and schedules for multiple scopes of work and the integration of these scopes
- Produce deficiency reports and follow up with the site team and sub-trades to ensure a timely correction and closure by consultants
- Educate and inform sub trades on details and deficiencies.
- Analyze and ensure the execution of the work is being performed up to quality standards of the project
- Create and update reports for QC items for the Lead Superintendent Troubleshoot construction installation details and liaise with the consultant
- Adherence to company requires safety regulations, policies and procedures
- Actively work with site construction team to complete day-to-day tasks and address latent deficiencies as required
- Coordinate 3rd party inspections as per the project Inspection and Test Plan
Our Superintendent will oversee projects that vary in size and scope and the successful candidate should have previous experience in leading construction teams, trades and hourly employees. We would require the Superintendent to travel or stay close to the site; flexibility is a must.
We are also focused on candidates who currently have:
- Five or more years experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity
- Post-secondary education, CET or equivalent
- Proficiency with MS Office and Windows based computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project)
- Can manage site operations on complex projects in excess of $40 million

Salary Range: $80,000/Year - $115,000/Year (Depending on experience)
