Position Summary
As a Commissions Analyst, you will be responsible for the calculation of commissions payable to agents selling Medavie Blue Cross products. You will work closely with the Sales and Underwriting teams to ensure all information received is complete in order to calculate and pay commissions. Additionally, you will respond to agent inquiries by telephone and/ or in writing regarding commission related inquiries. This is an 18-month term that will work in a hybrid capacity out of our Moncton office.
Responsibilities
Calculating commissions payable for sales of Group and Individual products, including; new commissions, renewal commissions and cancellation commissions;
Working with excel, using functions such as v-lookups and pivot tables to summarize information in order to finalize commissions calculations;
Creating and maintaining Agents’ files in multiple systems;·
Responding to internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner;
Monitor expiry/renewal of agent licenses, ensuring to withhold payments when valid license is expired;
Recognize and act on opportunities to enhance processes whenever possible, make suggestions regarding process improvements and new efficiencies.
Qualifications
Bilingualism in French and English required;
Post-secondary education in business and/or accounting or relevant business;
1-2 years relevant experience;
Excellent organizational and time management skills;
A high degree of accuracy;
The ability to prioritize workload;
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) as you work with both internal and external customers;
Strong technical abilities in Microsoft Word and Excel- must be familiar with v-lookups and pivot tables.
