SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for investigating acts of wrongdoing, coordinating security and Loss Prevention activities for all Stores and Distribution Centres within Metro Ontario Inc.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support and follow-up on internal investigations.
- Install CCTV equipment for internal investigations.
- Provide support to stores and D.C.'s concerning investigations and security issues.
- Provides support for the implementation of the Loss Prevention programs; retail store audits, DM meetings, LP shrink meetings all designed to assist stores in controlling their assets.
- Prepares, maintains and organizes detailed reports for all internal investigations.
- Will attend Arbitrations and Criminal Court for the purpose of giving evidence when required.
- Will maintain a close working relationship with other functions in Metro such as Operations, Human Resources, Labour Relations, Legal and Health & Safety.
- Liaises between Metro Ontario Inc., and Law Enforcement agencies concerning ongoing investigations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
- College diploma or University studies (certificate) in Law & Security or Criminology
- License as a Private Investigator or in the process of obtaining
- Minimum 3 years investigator experience in a retail environment
- Flexibility to work staggered hours, weekends, evenings as required.
- Ability to travel throughout Ontario
- On-call 24/7
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of current surveillance and alarm system technology
- Strong interviewing and interrogation skills
- Good communication skills
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
