Wealth Management IT Senior Manager Data/AI and IBOR

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary IT Senior Manager to lead our Wealth Data and AI Strategy and drive the delivery of critical business intelligence and reporting solutions. This role encompasses the management & modernization of the Wealth BI & Reporting Team & ecosystems, oversight of Investment Book of Record (IBOR) operations (including statements and tax-slip management), and the modernization of legacy platforms to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving financial services landscape.

The successful candidate will blend technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to transform data capabilities and operations while aligning with business goals and regulatory standards.

Your role

Data and AI Strategy

  • Develop and implement a forward-thinking Wealth Data and AI Strategy to advance analytics, reporting, and decision-making in Wealth Management.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to leverage AI/ML technologies for enhanced data insights and automation.
  • Ensure robust data governance, security, and compliance while optimizing data accessibility and quality.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and integrate emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Delivery: BI & Reporting

  • Lead the Wealth BI & Reporting Team, ensuring the development and delivery of high-quality, actionable insights to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with architecture to Design modern BI platforms that enable real-time and self-service analytics.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting needs, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

Investment Book of Record (IBOR) Operations

  • Oversee IBOR operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in: Generating client statements and Managing tax-slip creation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain robust processes and technologies to ensure seamless IBOR functionality.
  • Lead the modernization of legacy IBOR systems, improving reliability, scalability, and alignment with evolving business and compliance needs.

Platform Modernization

  • Drive the modernization of legacy data platforms and IBOR systems, transitioning to scalable, cloud-based, and automated solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to define architectural standards and ensure the seamless integration of new technologies.
  • Minimize business disruption during modernization efforts through meticulous planning and change management.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with business leaders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment on strategic goals and deliverables.
  • Effectively manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership, showcasing progress, risks, and opportunities.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of IT leadership experience, with a focus on data strategy, AI, and operational system management
  • Experience in the wealth management or financial services industry is highly desirable
  • Strong background in data strategy, AI technologies, and modern BI/reporting platforms
  • Experience with Investment Book of Record (IBOR) systems and operations, including tax and regulatory reporting
  • Proven track record in modernizing legacy systems and implementing cloud-based, AI-driven, and data-centric solutions
  • Knowledge of data governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management in the wealth management domain
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering business value
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
