Description
The initial assignment will include teaching Math 31, Chemistry 30, Junior High Phys. Ed. and Health.
Fairview High School is located in the town of Fairview, approximately 100 kms north of Grande Prairie. The school serves approximately 300+ students from grades 7-12.
This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is secured. The Peace River School Division thanks you for your interest in working with our division - only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
Qualifications:
Experience and/or training in teaching senior high level grades
Excellent communications skills with students, staff and parents
Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and educational assistants to ensure student success
Proven ability to differentiate lessons to support students’ achievement
Strong classroom management skills
A keen understanding of assessment practices
The ability to use technology to support learning in the classroom
Requirements:
Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

This teaching position falls under the Collective Agreement between the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Peace River School Division.
Annual Salary Range:
$ 62, 702 to $ 105, 996 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the Peace River School Division).
