Description

This role will focus on supporting Purolator's Freight line of business by establishing and maintaining corporate price discount standards, revenue management, and accountability to plan and coordinate revenue analysis. This role will also develop and coordinate periodic contract price adjustments and manage revenue analysis activities with the Finance planning group. Additionally, this role will work with program managers to grow their markets and provide expertise to senior management in the analysis of major corporate initiatives including pricing and business planning.

Please note that this role is a Hybrid position requiring 3 days in our corporate office located in Mississauga.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily, weekly, monthly, and annual revenue tracking and analysis for Purolator's Freight line of business.
  • Identify and implement periodic contract price adjustments as required.
  • Assist with the development of pricing management policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the policies.
  • Assist with the rollout and training to sales.
  • Perform ongoing assessments of financial performance of policy constraints.
  • Maintain effective, coordinated effort between Sales, Finance, Legal, and Marketing on all aspects related to Pricing and Revenue Management.
  • Assist with coordinated review of revenue/margin analysis through the provision of information and tracking.
  • Review of broader company financial picture.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive activity concerning the contract customer base.
  • Develop methods for obtaining indications of competitive contract pricing information (from Sales)
  • Manage revenue analysis and coordinate corporate.
  • Revenue planning activities with the Finance Planning group.
  • Conduct analysis into components of the business and market and economic factors.
  • Build a reasonable information base consistent with business expectations, internal processes, and an understanding of the underlying market and competitive environment.
Experience

  • A minimum of 7 years of related Freight experience required.
  • Extensive exposure to LTL pricing.
  • Highly developed spreadsheet skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis.
  • Data analysis skills.
  • Strong demonstration of Freight research skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Time Management.
  • Ability to work in a team.
