What is the Opportunity?

In this role, you will partner across IT and with assigned business line(s) to be responsible for driving quality and champion defect prevention/early defect detection. You will be responsible for maximizing test coverage and using business analysis techniques to optimize testing activities. You will also be responsible for test case creation and execution, maximizing automation opportunities (medium to high complexity)

What will you do?

  • Provides analysis / consulting services as required on enhancements/fixes.

In areas of Execution and Operational Excellence:

  • Significant contribution to project/program test strategies and plans

  • Responsible for the adoption of quality engineering practices

  • Provide feedback on quality of deliverables and escalate issues

On Projects and Initiatives:

  • Accountable for developing deep domain knowledge and business logic, processes, flows, data flows and rules, for areas in scope and training junior resources

  • Responsible for reviewing requirements and business functions and constructing data flows to map intended system behavior including data boundary conditions to optimize maximum coverage

  • Responsible for following defined QE processes and tools usage and intent

  • Responsible for creating/executing and maximizing automation of complex test cases for assigned programs/projects through the application lifecycle, including multi-level tests to exercise full functionality of an AUT, e.g. service-level, component and UI tests (functional)

  • Responsible for following agreed upon processes for test results storage, defect tracking and defect verification and supporting project metrics tracking

  • Partners across IT and with assigned business lines to test new or existing software in order to ensure functional requirements are met.

  • Responsible for modelling system behavior/attributes performing test model optimization to improve scope and functional coverage and maintain test models as business requirements change

  • Be an active SME with capability to understand business functions within treasury services organization

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • 3 5 years of experience hands as a QE analyst / lead on applications with multiple functions, preferably Treasury Services.

  • Hands on experience in test case design at different levels (component/service, integration, and end to end/user scenarios).

  • Hands on expertise in a variety of test automation frameworks/tools (e.g., Robot Framework, Testing, SOAPUI, Appium), and script development using scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Bash, etc.)

  • Experience in a QA/test environment with a focus on technical, automated testing in a variety of environments (distributed, cloud and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases)

  • In-depth knowledge of a variety of testing techniques and methodologies

  • Excellent communication skills; ability to focus, prioritize and solve complex technical problems

Preference given for:

  • Strong business banking domain knowledge to ensure ability to deploy appropriate testing techniques and methodologies to resolve business goals.

  • Experience as test engineer and/or developer

  • Certifications: ISTQB

Nice to have:

  • Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related (technical) degree/diploma

  • Work experience of 1-2 years using the Investor or Treasury Services applications with familiarity with direct dealing with business.

  • Process knowledge including different testing tools, design techniques
