The Opportunity

RVS invites applications for a continuing, full-time (40 hrs/wk) Asset/Warehouse Coordinator position starting August 19, 2024 in the Supply Management department. The Asset/Warehouse Coordinator co-ordinates all aspects of warehouse operations and distribution services within the structure of Supply Management. The Asset/Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for warehouse inventory, shipping, receiving, department reports, reclamation of surplus, relaying instructions to the Truck Driver, and the facilitation of distribution and storage requirements. This position is located at the Education Centre in Airdrie, Alberta.

Responsibilities Include

Prepares receiving dock to accept incoming shipments

Oversees the safe, secure, and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries

Matches products with purchase orders and reports discrepancies to Senior Manager

Performs quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items

Safely operates warehouse equipment including Forklift, Narrow Isle Stacker, and Pallet Jack

Assists with scheduling freight appointments

Lifts cases of product and/or stock merchandise according to documented procedures

Creates daily shipment manifests

Tracks shipments and verifies receipt of shipments as required

Manages inventory of shipping materials and supplies

Sorts and distributes incoming shipments

Accurately processes all required paperwork and maintains adequate records for reporting and tracking

Education/Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

Valid Class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle License

Valid certification (or willingness to obtain) for safe operation of a Narrow Aisle Reach Truck and Counterbalance Forklift

Valid certification (or willingness to obtain) for Transportation of Dangerous Goods and W.H.M.I.S

Previous experience with inventory/asset management is considered an asset

Knowledge and Skills

Working Knowledge of safe work practices and safe lifting methods

Working Knowledge of completing waybills, bills of landing international shipments

High customer service orientation

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications

Driver's abstract satisfactory to RVS standards as it applies to this role

Physically capable of safely lifting heavy loads (up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis)

Physically capable of safely operating materials handling equipment
