Rogue Research produces the Brainsight® neuronavigation system, which has been used in neuroscience research for over 20 years. With more than 1,000 installations worldwide, Brainsight® is now the most popular neuronavigation system in the research areas of cortical stimulation, as well as electrophysiology and veterinary surgery.

Rogue Research continually develops new solutions and products to enable its partners to be at the forefront and to be able to efficiently carry out their research. This includes robotic positioning systems as well as a unique magnetic stimulation device in the world.

Rogue Research is expanding and is currently looking for new talent to develop new medical devices. We are currently looking for a Product Engineer to participate in the release of new products and/or the improvement of existing products.

Due to the nature of the products, experience/expertise in both mechanical and electrical design is required for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Write and maintain required documents for various medical devices.
  • Plan, write and maintain risk analysis documents related to medical devices.
  • Review applicable standards and ensure that they are taken into consideration in defining requirements (and design processes).
  • Coordinate product changes with testing laboratories (IEC 60601).
  • Assist engineering in the design, assembly and verification of prototypes (mainly electrical engineering).
  • Participate in design reviews (mainly electrical engineering).
  • Coordinate the transfer into production of different medical products.
  • Maintain DHF and DMR files.
  • Monitor and investigate non-conformities, as well as corrective actions related to different medical products.
  • Ensure that design processes are followed in the different phases of the product life cycle.
  • Ensure the availability of components and plan changes if necessary.

Prerequisites

  • 2-5 years of industry experience in a similar role.
  • Electrical engineering expertise/experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (French/English) and document writing (English).
  • Autonomous and proactive.
  • Bilingual (French and English).

Assets

  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and Quality Management Systems;
  • Interest for the biomedical field.
