Your role :

RONA is seeking a highly analytical Senior Pricing Analyst to drive our pricing strategy, provide insights, and optimize our pricing structure across specific business categories. The ideal candidate will have extensive pricing experience, particularly in large organizations (preferably retail), advanced analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across internal teams. This role reports to the Pricing Manager and helps supports the pricing analyst.

Pricing Strategy:

  • Lead pricing initiatives using internal data analytics to optimize pricing decisions.
  • Develop pricing frameworks and models that align with company goals and maximize revenue.
  • Monitor and apply best pricing practices using consumer trends, inflation data, and competitor pricing.

Data Analysis and Modeling:

  • Conduct in-depth quantitative analysis using sales, cost, competitor pricing, and purchasing behaviors to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for price optimization based on market demands and cost evolution.
  • Assist in complex pricing projects, including implementing new pricing tools and conducting A/B testing for price adjustments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Training:

  • Collaborate with Finance, Merchandising, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment with the pricing strategy.
  • Mentor and support pricing analysts in developing their analytical skills.

The qualifications we are looking for :

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business intelligence, statistics, finance, marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar pricing role in a large corporation.
  • Advanced proficiency in analytical tools (Excel, SQL, Python).
  • Proficiency in pricing software such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
  • Retail experience is an asset.
  • Ability to make strategic decisions and support execution of proposed strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft programs.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to build pricing models and extract meaningful insights from large datasets.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data clearly.
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of business acumen and leadership potential.
