Associate SAP Project Manager
What you'll do
The role of the Associate Project Manager is to support a Senior Project Manager, Portfolio Manager, or Program Manager in all aspects of the project life cycle: initiate, plan, monitor and control, and close. This is a junior position responsible for performing a basic function to support SAP Services delivery execution on customer engagements.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of SAP Software and services as required and directed by SAP Delivery and Project Manager
- Provide support to the Project Manager for the Sales to Delivery Handover
- Assist with project coordination, planning and management
- Capture project metrics and ensure they are clearly communicated to appropriate SAP or Customer team members
- Manage revenue backlog in SAP systems for assigned projects
Expectations and Tasks
- Participate in initial training to quickly learn targeted SAP technologies and methodologies.
- Responsible for maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction in addition to growing and developing referenceable customers.
- Create and maintain procedures and manuals.
- Track project status through use of internal and external tracking tools and assist in weekly status reporting.
- Assist in developing process and templates as well as establishing document control procedures.
- Support project team through data management, scheduling and coordination of events.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work in a team environment, understand and be responsive to project and customer needs.
- Ability to adapt and function effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment while working under deadlines.
- A record of taking initiative (self-starter), driving results and accepting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Build credible relationships with peers and clients, and continuous professional learning.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge effectively.
- Assist with compliance to project requirements and standards
- Assist with tasks associated with monitoring and controlling the project
- Assist with revenue forecasting of a project
- Assist in Resource Management process, creating and tracking resource requests.
- Assist with the capture and recording of inputs for financial planning and management; including capture of project team timesheets (including external parties), effort expensed, project costs, project invoices etc.
- Assist with RAID Meetings, documentation, invitations, minutes
- Assist with management and documentation of project deliverable reviews and review sessions
- Assist with minutes of reviews and related project approvals
- Assist Project Manager with Project Sponsors and Project review Boards, including development of content, meeting minutes etc.
- Assist with project escalations
- Assist with management and tracking of key project documents and deliverables Participate in project weekly/monthly meetings, and in Project Reviews
- Assist with the capture of Lessons Learnt
- Work with consultants and project managers to ensure accuracy of project reporting
- Capture project metrics and ensures they are clearly communicated to appropriate SAP or Customer team members
What you bring
- This is an entry level position that requires up to 2 years of relevant work experience in a corporate environment.
- Prefer prior experience involving project coordination or administrative project specialist function.
- Graduate of an accredited university with a Bachelor or Masters Degree in: Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance, Project Management or relevant degree
- Must be able to work as a team player, but with the ability to work independently.
- Analytical and detail oriented
- Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills including verbal, written presentation and listening.
- Good people skills
- Experience working in multi-cultural teams an advantage
- Prior Team Lead or Project Management experience an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel)

The targeted combined range for this position is 66000 - 143400(CAD) CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance. Due to the nature of the role, which involves global interactions with SAP entities, as well as with employees and stakeholders in Canada, functional proficiency in English is required for positions based in the Quebec.
