S.i. Systems enterprise health authority client is seeking a HYBRID (North Vancouver hospital) Hybrid Intermediate / Senior BC Health Business Test Analyst to provide test coordination support for hospital patient systems at Lionsgate Hospital -

Hybrid onsite in North Vancouver Lionsgate Hospital. All expenses (travel, parking) borne at consultants expense.

6 month contract + renewals

MUST HAVE SKILLS

  • 6+ years experience as a Business Analyst / QA Analyst, including 2+ years of experience with BC Health Authorities & Health Care IT implementations in hospitals
  • Working knowledge of hospital/clinical systems, care delivery processes, clinical roles, policies, and standards preferably gained in the PHSA, PHC or VCH environment.

Work experience with software quality control concepts, defect resolution processes and practices.

· Experience developing project test plans, creating, updating, and reviewing test documentation and artifacts e.g., test cases, scripts etc.

· Demonstrated experience understanding testing effort by analyzing the requirements of project and ability to estimate time, resources and budget required to perform testing.

· Experience using modem Test Tools for the purposes of test case management, requirements, inventory, defect tracking, and results documentation (i.e., TestRail).

PROJECT BACKGROUND:

There are a number of new technology projects including 63 Downstream Cerner Millennium applications being deployed under the Lions Gate Hospital Acute Care Facility Project. This Test Analyst role will provide support for some of the following Lions Gate Hospital New Paul Myers Tower information technology application projects including, but not exclusive of:

1) Patient Bedside Entertainment System

2) Masimo Patient SafetyNet Vital Signs Monitoring

3) Patient Status Display Panel (RoomLink)

JOB DUTIES:

Working under the direction / in collaboration with the Project Manager the Test Analyst’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Managing and developing test plans for each project assigned, identifying tasks, dependencies and participants required to execute the test plan including obtaining analyst, business and other stakeholder inputs and support.

• Ongoing review and readjustment of each technology implementation test plans to accommodate changes due to unforeseen circumstances.

• Develop status reports for the project and provide to management.

• Preparing / updating the metrics dashboard at the end of a testing phase or at the completion of a project.

• Provide artifacts for the projects Steering Committee status reports

• Ensure the coordinated delivery of committed pieces of work within the scheduled time, ensuring the timely delivery of different testing milestones on each of the project.

• Follow the test processes as set out by the organization, ensuring the required test plan, scripts and tools are in place before test execution and ongoing management of test environment and test tools e.g., TestRaiI during test execution and change requests.

• Ensure the coordinated delivery of committed pieces of work within the scheduled time, ensuring the timely delivery of different testing milestones on each of the project, working in collaboration with multiple vendors, internal teams and multiple application streams.

• Ensure test documentation is completed as per standards defined by the organization, ensuring content and structure of all test documentation / artifacts is documented and maintained and meets PHSA standards.

• Lead, guide and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test cases, test procedures and test scripts, provide oversight and support to create test artifacts, execute testing and log defects, working closely with the business SME's and vendors.

• Working with multiple teams to support the development of testing scripts inclusive of the workflows for project-based User Acceptance Testing.

• Documenting, implementing, monitoring, and enforcing all processes for testing as per standards defined by the organization, ensuring content and structure of all test documentation / artifacts is documented and maintained and meets PHSA standards.

• Updating and maintaining the LGH New PMT consolidated SharePoint issues log for all projects assigned.

• Working with vendors to resolve identified software issues and retesting.

• Keeping track of the new requirements / change in requirements, escalating issues about project requirements (Software, Hardware, Resources) to the Project Manager.
