Intermediate Bilingual (French/English) Communications Specialist to support AML and Compliance initiatives for a major banking client- 36983

Location Address: Toronto - hybrid - onsite 3x/month

Contract Duration: 4 months (High Chance of Extension)

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday (37.5 hours per week)

Story Behind the Need: The team requires a backfill to support our Program.

• Business group: Compliance and AML
• The successful candidate must be completely fluent in English and French, and be able to develop content in both languages.
• The team supports multiple initiatives across Compliance and AML. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring effective communication and content curation to support change management activities and corporate communications.

Typical Day in Role:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, develop, provide QA, review, and disseminate Compliance and AML-related information to stakeholders across the organization
• Support the development of internal communications including, but not limited to presentations, scripts, newsletters, documents, videos, and digital content, and townhalls
• Contribute to the planning and management of the department’s SharePoint site, to ensure content is timely and meets audience needs
• Monitor the effectiveness of change management and communication strategies to ensure continuous improvement

Must Have Skills:

1) 5+ years of experience working in a Communications role

2) Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PPT, Word)

3) Strong oral and written skills in both English and French

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1) Experience working in an FI

2) Experience working in a communications role within an FI or large, multinational organization

Best vs. Average Candidate

The ideal candidate would have strong strategic communication experience within an FI or large organization and can demonstrate creative problem solving. Ideally this is a close knit team who actively works to support each other, a team player mindset is a must.
