Intermediate Business Intelligence Analyst to build dashboards with Power BI and perform data analysis using Python for our public-sector client (Req 363)

Our client is seeking an Intermediate Business Intelligence Analyst to build dashboards with Power BI and perform data analysis using Python

Candidates must be located in Calgary with some on-site work required. 37.5 hour work week. Enhanced security clearance is required with 3 years of residency in Canada.

Must haves:

• 4+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence role building dashboards using Power BI or Business Objects
• 4+ years of experience using Python and applying data modelling principles (Kimball Dimensional Modelling, etc)
• 4+ years of experience in database technologies and scripting using Oracle or SQL Server
• Experience with Big data frameworks / platforms (Hadoop, Cluster computing frameworks such as Spark, parallel computing)

Nice to haves:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Computer Aided Dispatch systems, telephony, workforce management systems or radio systems.

Responsibilities:

• Use Python to perform data analysis of phone data including phone activity, scheduling, radio and CAD data and then load this data into reporting data sets.
• Assist with Power BI dashboard development using best practices.
• Assist with Power BI data modelling leveraging Power Query, Data Flows, Data Lakes etc.
• Enhance the data flow process for phone data to ensure a continuous flow of phone data during upgrade projects
