Senior Application Architect to support software development services and with skills and experience within the public sector

Our public sector client requires a Senior Application Architect to support software development services and with skills and experience within the public sector. The contractor will be responsible for helping to improve the application software development projects, primarily by providing expert knowledge and system design and implementation of front end and back end application development, including tuning and implementation enhancements.

Responsibilities:

• Providing support in the development of work breakdown structure for project activities.
• Providing support in the development of activity and task duration and scheduling estimates.
• Maintaining up-to-date activity/task status information within project tracking databases.
• Analysis, design, implementation, testing, and roll-out of Application development capabilities
• Contributing to the analysis, design, architecture, development and testing of a new web-based visualization capability,
• Producing technical design documentation to support the web application development team
• Performing software programming in Java and JavaScript to produce applications that support highly available usage for more than 100 concurrent users.

Must Have:

• 10+ years experience as an Application Architect
• 15 + years with Java Development experience
• Experience architecting large scale data solutions using Kafka
• Experience with design and development of Spring Boot Rest Service and deployment using Rancher and Docker
